Job summary
Working under the direction of the College Marketing Manager, the post holder will be actively involved in the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing and communications activity to support the recruitment of students for the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. This will involve marketing to a range of audiences and working with a range of stakeholders.
The post holder will work closely with the rest of the team to deliver a marketing and communications strategy which represents the needs of the College and the evolving operating environment. Working across the whole spectrum of the marketing mix and experienced in both digital and offline marketing communications, the post holder will manage and implement multiple projects including the enquirer and applicant contact strategy, home and international marketing campaigns, and market research.
Main duties
- Work with College Marketing Manager and other key stakeholders to develop and implement a marketing and recruitment strategies each year, identifying particular priority programmes and markets.
• Implement targeted digital and offline marketing plans for programmes across the College, both home and internationally, with particular emphasis on digital marketing. This will include monitoring and evaluating existing marketing plans and ongoing development to fit changing business needs
• Operate as the College’s lead contact for the University’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, delivering in house training and development and engaging with groups that support the CRM’s operation.
• Implement a College-wide conversion strategy, incorporating CRM, events (on and offline), telephone campaigns and other tactics
• Support the running of Open Days within the College.
• Work with colleagues to continually improve the visitor experience at both applicant visit days and open days
• Responsibility for the delivery of marketing collateral (writing and editing copy, commissioning and gathering images) including College content for the University prospectuses, School/programme literature, and exhibition materials
Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
- Good degree-level education or significant experience working in marketing.
• Experience and track record of delivery in a wide range of marketing specialisms, online and offline.
• Demonstrable experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system
• A proven, high standard of written and oral communication and confidence of dealing with projects at all levels
• Evidence of project management skills
• Experience of working on complex internal and external events
• Ability to work with initiative, under pressure and manage multiple workloads simultaneously
• Experience of attending marketing / recruitment fairs/events and representing organisation
• Ability to manipulate complex databases to extract meaningful data, and to create succinct reports
• Well-developed administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to pay attention to detail
• Experience of working with social media in professional context
