Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is a quadruple-accredited, world-ranked management school, consistently in the top 20 in the three major UK league tables. At the heart of the student experience is the innovative LUMS Careers team, which makes a significant impact on the career development and employability of our students.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take the lead on the international careers provision in our team. The main purpose of the role is to expand our offer to students who wish to work outside the UK, including UK students working internationally and international students who wish to return to their home countries or to move to a third country. The main, although not exclusive, focus will be on China, the EU, the Middle East, and India.

You will promote LUMS and its students to international employers and increase the quality and quantity of relationships with relevant employers in key international markets. You will be responsible for communicating with and influencing colleagues to ensure buy-in, support and commitment to achieving the School’s aims in this area and in the School’s broader international agenda.

You will lead on our international careers provision by providing a range of professional careers and employability resources, information, support, and guidance to LUMS students and alumni.

You will have an innovative, engaging, and effective professional approach. Your previous experience will have equipped you for adapting flexibly to this new role and you will be someone who thrives on change and seeks new challenges. You will have strong knowledge of the business sector in China or India and recent, relevant experience of talent development.

We are in a beautiful part of Northwest England with great facilities and a warm and welcoming community.  We offer an occupational pension scheme, a generous annual leave allowance, excellent training and development opportunities, flexible benefits, an employee assistance programme, and flexible working options.

If you share our commitment to excellent service and enjoy working in a fast-paced and friendly environment, we would love to hear from you.

Although the campus will be your official place of work, this will be a blended role with a mix of working remotely through MS teams, on campus, nationally and internationally.

Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel internationally (maximum 10% of year) is essential.

Please direct informal enquiries to Rory Daly, Head of LUMS Careers, [email protected] or Noeleen Hammond Jones, Deputy Head of LUMS Careers (WRL) [email protected]

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
