Salary from £40,229 to £48,456 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance. This is a fixed-term post until 31 July 2027.

LSE Research and Innovation (R&I) supports the delivery of LSE 2030 through Priority 2: Research for the World, which touches on every facet of research at LSE.

The Research and Innovation Operations Manager is an operations and administration expert and applies their professional expertise to ensure the division has effective policies and processes to underpin delivery of the Research for the World Strategy. They support the Head to deliver strategy, feeding into organisational requirements, streamlining operations, engaging stakeholders and managing change. They ensure ongoing success and effectiveness by optimising processes, providing ongoing training and education and gathering user feedback to drive continuous improvement. They line manage the Administrative Assistant and the Research Development Administrative Assistant, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the division.

They have excellent written and oral communication skills, a proven ability to build constructive working relationships to deliver shared objectives and a demonstrable service led, customer-focused approach to work.

LSE is a campus-based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. Most staff operate a blend of on-campus and remote working.
