Job description

Turning Passion into Purpose. London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post of Legal Assistant Development Manager to join their highly skilled Legal department. The Legal team provides a high-quality and professional legal service to the university and its group (LSBU group).  The Team carries out work across a wide range of legal areas, including Data Protection, Commercial Contracts, Intellectual Property, Academic Collaboration Agreements and Freedom of Information requests.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to support the Legal Team on a wide variety of tasks, working both with the team and independently on research, policy, regulatory requests, contracts, and other matters.  The role provides an opportunity to engage with the diverse portfolio of an in-house Legal team, with great development opportunities for a law graduate looking to expand their legal experience.

  

About You:

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

 

  • Excellent organisational skills, can meet competing work priorities effectively, with good attention to detail and pro-active approach.

 

  • Able to work on a wide variety of different legal issues, communicating complex legal and commercial ideas clearly to legal professionals and lay-people.

 

  • Great interpersonal skills, a natural team-player with a demonstrable record of forming flexible, collaborative professional relationships with stakeholders.

 

 

The ideal candidate will be degree educated, with a Law degree or conversion course at a minimum of a 2:1.
