The above 0.6 FTE post (maternity cover) is available from 1 May 2024 on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2025 in the Clinical Education Research and Development (Cedar) team within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

About the role
Do you have sound knowledge of CWP/EMHP working and supervision of low-intensity practice? Are you an experienced supervisor and communicator, with an excellent approach to supporting and educating others? Would you like to help new supervisor trainees develop their clinical practice and support them along their journey to becoming qualified supervisors? We are looking for a dedicated, organised and caring individual who has the relevant CYP supervision experience to become part of the Cedar education team.

The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP), Wellbeing Practitioner for Children and Young People (CWP) and Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP) workforce training programmes represent a key component towards achieving the national aims (DoH & DoE, 2018 and NHSE, 2017) to increase access and availability of high-quality mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people.

About you
The successful candidate will be operating alongside an established academic team who have a proven record of teaching excellence, delivering a curriculum driven by evidence-based practice. Based within Cedar at the University of Exeter, you will have responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning materials across the CWP and EMHP Supervisors programmes. You will work closely with the EMHP and CWP Programme Lead and Academic Lead to ensure the efficient and effective delivery and assessment of teaching programmes in accordance with the Faculty’s education strategy. You will contribute directly to the Health Education England (HEE) commissioned training programmes based within Cedar and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across Cedar and the Faculty.
