About the Role:

We’re looking to appoint a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Strategy to join the Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Tourism subject group within the school. The successful candidate would contribute to the teaching and research activity of the group, including on our recently launched MBA Entrepreneurship and BSc Business with Entrepreneurship courses, as well as other business courses in the School of Management. We are committed to an active, collaborative learning pedagogy across our face to face, blended, and distance learning courses and we welcome applicants with experience in, and enthusiasm, for innovative teaching and learning approaches.

We would particularly welcome applicants with a research interest in the challenges of digitalisation for SMEs, and with understanding of the role of innovation in ensuring the future prosperity, sustainability and wellbeing of the UK and global economy. The faculty also has a strong focus on social justice, and ‘doing well by doing good’, and applicants are encouraged to consider how their research would contribute to that profile.

With a degree plus PhD/Professional Doctorate, you’ll have successful teaching experience at HE level and excellent written and verbal communication skills, you’ll be IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Able to think innovatively, you’ll be willing to develop personal research. With an enthusiastic and flexible approach, you’ll have the ability to work as part of a team, and you’ll be committed to contributing to the collective life of the faculty.
