We are looking for a dedicated and passionate academic who brings research and teaching expertise in Structural Engineering/Design and can contribute to academic leadership in the area. You will join the well-established Materials and Structures (MS) group in the School of Civil Engineering at Leeds, promoting values of collegiality within the academic community.

Talented, enthusiastic and motivated, you will hold a PhD in Structural Engineering/Design or a related subject, have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in conducting high quality research and teaching at undergraduate and masters levels, along with experience of supervising UG/PGT projects and PhD dissertations.

The School of Civil Engineering is globally renowned for its teaching, research and engagement with industry and government. It is one of the largest and longest established Civil Engineering schools in the UK with just over 650 students from over 70 countries. With a vision and drive to develop a prestigious internationally competitive research portfolio as well as a passion for undertaking research-led teaching, you will make a significant impact on the performance, stature and profile of research and student education in the School, in the field of Structural Engineering/Design.

This role will be based at the university of Leeds campus and there is scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
