Lecturer in Primary Education (ITE)

The School of Education is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to be part of the Early Years and Primary Education team. You will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education courses.

You will be expected to make significant contribution to the provision of high-quality teaching, research and income generation where appropriate. You will have a proven track record of teaching Early Years and Primary phases and experience of practice in these areas. You will be committed to enhancing the student experience and contributing to the performance and development of the wider School of Education. Ideally you will have a record of scholarly activity and research (or the capacity to achieve this), hold a Master's level qualification and possess or be working towards/willing to undertake a higher degree qualification at some point.  This role does require someone who has clear knowledge, skills and understanding as well as demonstrable experience of the PSRB requirements. 

You will possess a good Honours Degree (UK, or IK equivalence) or equivalent experience, a master’s qualification or equivalent experience or be keen to work towards a postgraduate qualification. You should have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS UK).
