We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Finance with a range of teaching and research skills who can make a significant contribution to the School’s Department for Accounting and Finance.

The role

  • teaching, by preparing module material as a member of a module team contributing to the presentation of modules and monitoring  teaching quality;
  • undertaking research, pursuing external research funds, publishing and contributing to the faculty’s research culture;
  • teaching at residential schools or other direct student contact as required; and
  • contributing to the general academic and professional life of the School as agreed.

Skills and Experience

A successful candidate is expected to have a PhD in accounting or relevant professional accounting qualification to support teaching and research in accounting.

  • A track record of excellent teaching at university level in Finance modules at such as corporate finance, financial management, derivatives and risk management, including curriculum and pedagogical design and development, and a commitment to the provision of quality service to students.
  • A developing record of research in the area of finance or accounting that is commensurate to the position.
  • A good understanding of developing finance teaching materials in English.
  • A commitment to professionalism as a colleague and proven track record of working with others as a member of a team.
  • A strong commitment to excellence in inclusive learning and teaching for a diverse student population.
