Offer Description

The Edinburgh Napier Business School  is one of the largest modern Business Schools in Scotland and offers expertise, teaching and research across: Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Law, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, and Festival & Events Management.

As part of our ongoing growth phase of the Business School, we are currently recruiting a number of Lecturers in Finance for Overseas Teaching, who can accommodate 10-16 weeks per year in China to support the delivery of the University’s Transnational Education (TNE) commitments overseas.

The Role:

As Lecturer in Finance for Overseas Teaching you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in supporting and developing the delivery of undergraduate modules for finance students mostly overseas.

This will see you joining an ambitious, growing team consisting of academics on Enterprise, Learning and Teaching, Professional Practice, and Research pathways, who make significant contributions across all strands of endeavour.

The post will give you the remit to influence the direction of our diverse and vibrant curriculum going forward and become involved in both module and programme leadership, providing contribution to our accountancy and finance portfolio, as well as having the opportunity to spend between 10-16 weeks per year completing teaching commitments with our partners in China (this will usually occur in 2-3 week periods). Still your main residency should be in the UK.

If you are interested in research, the role could also provide you with the time to conduct individual and collaborative research projects, contributing to the research profile of the School. We envisage you will be aligned to one of our research centres or research groups, such as Napier Applied Business Research for Society (NABRS).

What we will need from you:

In addition to the role profile, (click here to view ) the following criteria are essential:
