Deadline: 24 Mar 2024

Faculty/Directorate

Faculty of Business and Social Sciences

School/Function

Kingston Business School

The Role

This is a career-defining opportunity at the heart of a department that brings together data analytics and emerging digital business technologies. You’ll join a close-knit group of academics who are behind a varied programme of research-led teaching and forward-thinking studies that develop graduates who are sought after for their skills, knowledge and ability to innovate.

You will plan, deliver and assess a range of modules which centre around business analytics, digital innovation and disruptive technologies, collaborating with industry partners to enhance real-world connections and provide students with practical insights that can be translated into real-world skills.

Research is, naturally, a key part of our make-up and you’ll engage in knowledge exchange, collaborative and individual research projects, attract funding and contribute to the impact and intellectual reputation of the school.

The Person

You’ll hold a doctorate in an applied analytics or technology field relevant to business and bring with you a recognised teaching or learning qualification. If you haven’t already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition, we’ll need you to do so before the end of your probation period. You’ll demonstrate the potential to engage in applied business research at the cutting edge of technological and analytical trends and advancements.

On a personal level, going above and beyond to deliver an exceptional student experience will be your core motivation. With a keen interest in the application of developing technologies to business, you will impart practical skills and knowledge to empower students to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Constantly seeking to improve, you’ll scrutinise your own work, build private and public sector networks, and work collaboratively to enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles.

The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences combines Kingston Business School and the School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences. Driven by a forward-thinking approach, the faculty is dynamic, innovative and ambitious.
