Lecturer in Biomedical Science

Hours of Work:            1 full-time post (35 hours per week) OR 2 part-time posts (17.5 hours

                                    per week)

Contract type:             Permanent

Salary:                        The starting salary will be from £37,099 - £39,347 per annum in Grade

                                    7a, depending on qualifications and experience.

Leeds Trinity University has embarked on the delivery of a strategic ambition to provide a range of Nursing and Allied Health Professions’ programmes to support local, regional, and national workforce demands.  As such, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Biomedical Science team to deliver a new undergraduate programme in Biomedical Science. Located within the growing School of Health & Life Sciences (HLS).

You will be able to demonstrate experience in one of the Clinical Specialisms of a Biomedical Science or related area.  As we are delivering a brand-new Biomedical Science programme you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of teaching and develop your modules in line with the requirements of the Institute of Biomedical Science plus the QAA Benchmarks for Biomedical Science.  You will deliver high-quality teaching across the programme, plus other relevant subject areas within HLS (dependent on your experience).  The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to independent research and/or knowledge exchange activities and be involved in the delivery of research or practice-led teaching.

You will be motivated, pro-active and engage with collaborative working both as a team member and with wider partners.  We aim to ensure that we equip our students with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers.  As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of laboratory skills and knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills such as leadership and robust digital and technology skills.
