To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Accounting within the Department of Finance, Accounting and Risk, based in the Glasgow School for Business and Society.

As a Lecturer in Accounting, you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in Accounting. Applicants should hold relevant qualifications in the subject area, demonstratable experience of teaching to the wider academic or professional community or industry experience. 

Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Applicants for this role are not required to possess expertise in all of the following specialisms, but at least some of the following: public sector accounting, financial accounting,  management accounting, taxation and audit. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching and assessment in higher education and/or in industry settings is essential. The Department of Finance, Accounting and Risk promotes innovation in learning and teaching and, therefore, we are keen to appoint an individual with experience of e-learning and online environments. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable. The post holders will also be expected to contribute to ensuring curricula are current by engaging in further development of the subject area to ensure academic rigour.
