Bedford College, are currently recruiting for a Lecturer of Health at our Bedford Campus.


Lecturers- Health at Bedford College, play a pivotal role in the success of our students to:

  • To prepare, deliver, assess and verify on a range of Health and T Level qualifications.
  • To work alongside employers (including the NHS) in establishing and maintaining vocationally relevant placement opportunities and experiences for all students.
  • To support and guide students to achieve success and realise their potential.

Ideal candidates will have experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, alongside the following qualifications:

  • Level 4 (and above) qualifications in Health (clinical pathways) sector related studies
  • Clinical experience in the Health sector
  • Willingness to work towards the Certificate in Education qualification
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year

Bedford College has a number of sites across the town and surrounding areas, these include our main Cauldwell Street campus in the heart of the town, our hair and beauty salon on the High Street, the advanced automotive centre on Brunel Road and the gas and technology plumbing centre in Kempston.

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.

We are open to either qualified of un-qualified candidates for this post, as we are open to supporting you in gaining your qualifications. The Salary on offer will be depending on qualifications, we are open to consideration of starting salary for suitable candidates.

Terms and Conditions - Bedford College

  • 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum (1.0 FTE) Part time hours will be considered
