Due to the expansion of the research service in the Acute Multidisciplinary Imaging and Interventional Centre (AMIIC) at the John Radcliffe hospital we are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic lead Research Nurse. The internationally unique centre includes a hybrid unit combining a state of the art, photon-counting CT scanner integrated with an interventional lab. This set up allows us to undertake some really exciting research studies from a wide variety of disciplines. You will be the lead Research Nurse for AMIIC and support other members of the team including other nursing staff, radiographers, physiologists, HCA’s, and clinicians. The role is a primary to support research activities in the centre, however there will be a need to provide support to the clinical nursing team within AMIIC for our interventional and CT lists. These lists include cardiology, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, and spinal cord stimulation procedures.

You will act in accordance with the NMC Code. This will include carrying out a high standard of individualised patient care and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and comprehensive. As well as this you will be the point of contact for all research studies that come through AMIIC, ensuring that enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner and facilitating the set-up of projects.

You are required to hold an adult nursing qualification, full registration with the NMC and have experience of managing research teams, including line management experience. Evidence of relevant post-qualification training/courses would be desirable.

This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years and you will be based at the Acute Multidisciplinary Imaging and Interventional Centre (AMIIC), Level 2 JR Hospital, Headington, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
