The University of Bristol has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and qualified Civil Engineering/Geotechnical graduate or post-graduate to lead and deliver a collaborative Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with Structural Soils Ltd (SSL).
The KTP project aims to facilitate the knowledge transfer between academia and industry and:
(i) develop a unique transformative framework for guiding advanced soil testing in a commercial laboratory setting;
(ii) develop new test interpretation methods for improved soil data quality; and
(iii) build a predictive tool for test data quality assurance and tendering purposes.
The Associate will be based at the company's Bristol premises and will closely work with the company to facilitate the research knowledge transfer and embed both advanced soil testing and data interpretation tools.
They will apply their technical civil and geotechnical knowledge through real work and springboard their career.
This is a full-time position for a fixed term 36-month duration.
