Initially based at the Wakefield City Campus, following an induction period you will be required to work at any of the group colleges, with the potential to work from home for 2 days a week.


Multiple positions available

We are recruiting for IT Systems Administrators to join our IT Systems team where you will be responsible for technical design, planning and implementation of systems and applications.

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will utilise your technical expertise and knowledge to maintain Group IT Systems and streamline existing processes to improve services.

As an IT Systems Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Being as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems and configuration of system applications.
  • Training IT Services staff in how to use newly acquired software and hardware.
  • Assisting with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations.
  • Developing procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorised use, acts of nature and user abuse.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Maths and English GCSE at Grade A* C/ 9-4 or equivalent as a minimum
  • Hold a Higher National or Degree in an IT related subject or have equivalent experience
  • Hold experience of administration of a Windows serverbased infrastructure (2016 and above)
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
