About this role

We have a team of around 170 professionals, delivering key services to the University, including network management, systems development, technical support, enterprise architecture, cyber security, project delivery.

Working across the University we are enabling the Strategy 2030 ambitions to be digitally agile, technology enabled and future-focused. As part of this we are transforming the University’s IT landscape, with a clear enterprise architecture, along with supporting standards, principles and practices.

IT Services works in a hybrid way offering the flexibility to work both on campus and at home depending on project or team needs.

About you

You will work within a team to deliver complex digital projects or technical workstreams within a strategic programme, often managing end-to-end delivery from procurement through to live service.

You will promote best practice for project delivery and/or initiatives via multidisciplinary teams. The teams will be made up of internal technical specialists, business experts, external suppliers working with stakeholders across the organisation.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager professional to further develop their skills, being exposed you to both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods. You will have:

  • A strong background in either Agile or Waterfall delivery management methodologies, processes and techniques
  • A demonstrable track record of delivering digital projects/initiatives
  • Experience in building successful motivated delivery teams
  • Evidence of maintaining delivery momentum and unblocking issues
  • Experience of working with stakeholders and third parties to drive delivery

This is a full-time, fixed-term post until December 2025, working 37 hours per week.
