We are looking for an interim Head of Brand and Strategic Communications to lead our passionate and forward-thinking brand and strategic communications team. Reporting to the Chief Global Impact Office and as a Senior Manager within the Global Impact division you will support the team in their continuing transition to be a high-performing, progressive, professional group, benchmarked as best in class against similar functions in HE and more widely.  Global Impact is a central division overseeing stakeholder engagement, brand, and reputation management, locally, nationally and globally.  It is formed of three teams: Brand and Strategic Communications; Student Recruitment and Events: and Higher Horizons (a collaboration with partner universities in the locality to increase future participation in higher education).  The principal purpose of Global Impact is to present an authentic and compelling narrative of its work which provides a motivation for stakeholders to join or partner with the University to contribute to its success.

Whether through the opening of a new digital hub in the centre of Telford (September 2024), the introduction of a broad range of public engagement activities on its Edgmond campus or the growth of its digital channels and communication, the Interim Head of Brand and Strategic Communications will play a critical role in this next stage of its journey.
