The Role
Sheffield Hallam University are currently involved in the delivery of the Advanced Clinical Practice Degree Apprenticeship (ACP DA). We are seeking an additional Independent Assessors to join our established team to support growing student numbers.
As the ACP DA is an integrated degree apprenticeship, awarded by Sheffield Hallam University, they will deliver and fulfil the role of end point assessment organisation (EPAO).
The EPAO is required to demonstrate an independent assessment process. An Independent Assessor (IA) who has not been involved with on-programme learning and assessment must be appointed to conduct the EPA.
The IA’s role and responsibilities will include:
• Approval of the invigilation arrangements put in place by the EPAO and assesses and grades the completed examination paper
• Chairing the presentation panel
• Determining the presentation grade
• Determining the final apprenticeship grade
The IA will have responsibility for independently assessing the two End Point Assessment parts that each ACP apprentice must progress through to successfully complete their apprenticeship, namely:
• EPA Part 1. Open book examination
• EPA Part 2. Presentation of Practice [element 1: Clinical Practice Change Report and element 2: Presentation]
The role involves providing detailed feedback to ACP Apprentices using appropriate feedback mechanisms and in line with feedback deadlines, entering assessment outcomes into the appropriate records systems and in line with assessment deadlines.
All training and support will be provided.
