Exeter Innovation
This new full-time post is available immediately on a fixed-term basis for one year from about 1 June, funded from grant income.
The post is based in the Exeter Innovation division to work closely with colleagues in the Camborne School of Mines (CSM) and the Business School.
The role offers the opportunity for hybrid working.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements.
Summary of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the University of Exeter (Camborne School of Mines and the Business School) in a new International Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Resource Management in the Circular Economy. The Centre will work with the UN Economic Commission for Europe to encourage use of the UN Resource Management System. It will conduct research, teaching, training, advocacy and collaborate internationally. The centre, which will formally open in April 2024, is a collaboration between the University of Exeter and University College London (UCL), Brunel University, Swansea University and the British Geological Survey. The University of Exeter will concentrate on data for the circular economy (see CE-Hub.org, NICER CE-data observatory) and critical minerals (see Met4Tech.org and www.exeter.ac.uk/csm). We are looking for a enthusiastic, flexible person who can deliver a variety of activities including case studies and other research related to the UN Resource Management System, organise and deliver teaching and training, help manage the new ICE activities, seek funding for new activities, make new collaborative links, and be an advocate for circular economy and the UNRMS.
