We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to provide coordination for Health and Safety within the School of Life Sciences.  As a successful H&S professional, you will work within a supportive school and University team to manage a safe working environment for our staff, students and visitors. 

 You will work closely with the Senior Operations Manager (Health and Safety), and an established team, to bring strong support to the delivery of the health and safety operations and compliance that underpin all activity in the School of Life Sciences. 

 The school delivers research and teaching in biomedical laboratory environments that are spread over three medium to large buildings around University Park and the Medical School Building. 

 In addition to H&S knowledge, we also seek a people person who will enjoy engaging with a diverse team of technicians, academics, students, visitors, and other staff and positively lead them on a health and safety journey. Candidates must hold a NEBOSH certificate or equivalent and be able to demonstrate prior experience in work-related Health and Safety regulations.

The post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours).
