The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within the NDPH, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, such as cancer and heart disease.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the CTSU team and help develop innovative, practice-changing trials. As Head of Trials Monitoring & Training you will support CTSU trials research activity by promoting quality and improving performance, and by ensuring that CTSU meets its legal obligations when conducting clinical trials. Joining an existing team of clinicians, trial monitors, epidemiologists, statisticians, programmers and study management staff, you will become a major contributor to the ongoing development of innovative monitoring methodology within CTSU, including the remote monitoring of studies.
To be considered you will have a degree in Biological science and/or profession allied to medicine/nursing and experience of working in clinical trials (in particular CTIMPs), with in-depth knowledge of clinical trials regulations (within UK and world-wide) and proportionate application of such guidelines. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
The post is full time (although part time considered) and fixed term for 3 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 6th September 2021.
