About the opportunity
The Head of Quality Assurance, Central Program Management Office (PMO) is a business-critical leadership position that requires project quality assurance to be implemented and embedded across all strategic and transformation projects at the University.
The role will pioneer change and continuous improvement by influencing, coaching, inspiring and partnering at all levels of the University to deliver increased project performance and capability in transformation leadership.
The incumbent will develop the vision and roadmap for the Project Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement functions (within the Central PMO). It will require a range of senior management level capabilities including strong communication, facilitation, schedule and resource management, 3rd party management and stakeholder management skills, which will be applied across all areas of the University
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- own and champion the Quality Assurance (QA) framework
- drive completion of QA project audits
- lead the use of 'lessons learned' from QA project audits to evolve a Continuous Improvement (CI) framework and plan
- actively engage with and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders
- report on trends and analyse information that would support continuous improvement
About you
- demonstrated experience (minimum 10 years) developing, implementing and managing a continuous improvement framework and plan, including the responding and taking actions on lessons learned
- proven success in successfully implementing an effective project quality assurance function in a complex environment of transformational change, and where stakeholders have conflicting demands
- worked closely with a range of senior stakeholders (internal and external) with the ability to network, lead and direct business sponsors and owners in their QA obligations
- demonstrated capability to serve as a knowledgeable resource in project QA to the executive management team
- the ability to motivate, coach and mentor a high performing team to build internal project expertise and collaboration
- qualifications in a relevant domain, or certification in QA, Project Management and/or process improvement disciplines would be desirable
