Head of Operations

The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre is looking for an operations leader with significant technical expertise and a track record of successful delivery in a research and innovation environment.

You will establish the systems and processes for effective performance and strategy execution across AMIC, and oversee programme delivery to expected quality, cost, timelines and outputs. You will be responsible for operational delivery of facilities and management of the latest advanced industrial technologies.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria: 

  • Honours degree, equivalent or higher qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a leadership role(s) within a relevant research and innovation setting, with a proven track record of motivating and developing   cross functional teams creating a collaborative working environment.
  • Strong evidence of operational management in a technology-driven environment, including establishing systems and processes, facilities and equipment management, overseeing health and safety.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional programme or project delivery.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful high quality, on time project outcomes for a range of complex and innovative projects.
