We are looking to recruit an experienced engineer to run the mechanical workshop facility in the department. You will provide hands on practical skills and expertise to produce be-spoke components through the design, fabrication and further development process to support the world class research and high quality teaching in the Department. The role holder is also responsible for the management and development of the small team of skilled workshop technicians.

The Physics department is a vibrant, friendly department, well regarded internationally and holder of the Athena Swan Charter silver award and an IOP Juno champion recognising our commitment in advancing gender equality and promoting diversity.

The role is full time, working 36 ½ hours over Monday to Friday and based on our main Bailrigg campus.
