About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Head of Information Security (HoIS) to lead and elevate their cybersecurity posture. This pivotal role involves working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy. You will be responsible for managing the continual development of security tools, processes, and controls, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and safeguarding systems from an array of cyber threats.

About You

We invite candidates who boast a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant field, coupled with a rich tapestry of experience that spans at least 15 years in IT and business/industry, including significant leadership responsibilities.

About the Department

The Information Technology Services (ITS) department is an integral part of our Professional Services Division, working tirelessly to support the success of our diverse community of users. At the core of ITS lies a strategic, robust, and transparent Information Security Function dedicated to safeguarding their information and technological assets.

IT Services have set up a Women in Technology network to encourage collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the professional development, mentorship, and leadership opportunities for women in the Directorate. Recognising the underrepresentation of women in IT Services, the Network aims to promote the growth and advancement of women in our technology workforce.

In addition, we offer a range of work life balance and family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, and campus facilities including an on-site nursery at the Mile End campus.

A temporary market supplement is attached to this post, which is a separate payment in addition to the normal salary. A review of market conditions will be carried out periodically to establish if the market supplement should continue.
