The role will make a pivotal contribution to the continuing success and development of Confetti London, providing leadership of the academic team to deliver the mission and objectives of Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (CICT) and the Nottingham Trent University (NTU) strategic plan. The post requires an excellent eye for detail across all student data management systems, timetabling and the virtual learning environment. Skilled leadership are essential to ensure academic staff remain inspired and motivated to pursue continuous improvement and innovation. The role will entail significant responsibility for overseeing budgets, planning and ensuring financial and staff resources are used efficiently to achieve organisational goals. The postholder will be required to teach regularly to maintain direct contact with students and a first-hand understanding of the systems and processes used by academic staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

Academic Leadership and Quality Assurance

  • Contribute to the creation of Teaching, Learning and Assessment strategies and associated financial and operational plans that deliver the campus objectives for Confetti London.
  • Work with the London Leadership Team to drive innovation across the London academic offer, planning and implementing change management accordingly.
  • Contribute to the recruitment of students including presenting at Open Days and briefing and organising academic staff to attend similar recruitment of outreach focused events.
  • Ensure all public facing course information is correct, compelling and enables the recruitment of students.
  • Teach in one area of the curriculum to maintain a first-hand understanding of the experience for students and academic staff.
  • Have ownership of quality assurance processes at Confetti London and produce appropriate reports and papers for the relevant meetings, committees, boards and forums.
  • Have ownership of all teaching and learning materials ensuring the information is complete, accurate, aligns to the relevant Confetti / NTU regulations and policies, and is published correctly on the VLE.
  • Work with Confetti / NTU teams across student data and systems, academic quality, Library and student services and be accountable for reporting information required as part of the overall academic management of Confetti London.
  • Contribute to the setting of relevant KPIs and continually evaluate academic performance against them, recommending changes and improvements where appropriate.
  • Develop, maintain and oversee systems and processes to help ensure the highest quality student experience.
