The Graphene NOWNANO Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) was established in 2013 with UK Research Council (EPSRC) funding and is now financially supported by The University of Manchester and industry.
Working closely with the National Graphene Institute (NGI) and the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), based at The University of Manchester, the CDT offers a unique environment to undertake ground breaking research alongside opportunities for innovation and collaboration with industry within the fast growing family of graphene and 2D materials.This fully funded studentship includes:
- UKRI rate stipend and fees.
(EU and international applications are welcome, however, we are unable to offer funding so would require evidence of funding required to cover international tuition fee rate and related living costs)
Specified use
These studentships are open to all nationalities and will be of interest to students of the highest calibre who have the commitment and desire to work on challenging research projects in a world leading research environment.

To be considered for this award you must:
- Hold (or be about to obtain) a first class or upper second class honours honours undergraduate degree (or international equivalent) in science, engineering or biomedical disciplines.
