The Team

This role is part of the YSJ Global Team at our York campus. YSJ Global is a multi-disciplinary directorate that consists of operational teams including: International Student Recruitment and Conversion, Overseas Partnerships, Student Support, Marketing and Communications, Admissions, Visa and Compliance and the International Programmes Team. Our core function is to progress the international social mobility of students at York St John University. 

The Role

As the Global Recruitment and Conversion Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the recruitment and admissions process, serving as both an admissions officer and a dedicated support resource for prospective students. 

Your responsibilities will be to support the YSJ Global Directorate by assessing and issuing offers to candidates applying through UCAS and directly to the university - ensuring a seamless and positive experience for each applicant. 

The postholder will also assist and lead the implementation of digital conversion campaigns and support the development of the CRM pathway and associated materials to support and increase the conversion of enquirers and applicants to students. 

Required skills and experience

The Global Recruitment and Conversion Officer role requires a strong target and metrics-driven approach, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and CRM system experience.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data management and the UK admissions/recruitment cycle, or experience working in Higher Education Administration. 

Additionally, marketing and conversion skills are advantageous, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritising tasks effectively.
