Richmond American University London is now looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated to join our small and dedicated Finance & Systems team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, based in our Chiswick Campus.

This post will play a critical role in ensuring a robust financial framework of control is in place across the University. Alongside this, the Financial & Systems Accountant will have full responsibility of month-end close processes including reconciliation of all ledger accounts, ensuring that all cash balances work to achieve the best possible returns for the Group. The role will involve providing advice, recommendations and guidance that are compliant with the Treasury Policy and to include management and reporting on the liquidity of the Group on a regular basis.

The Financial & Systems Accountant is one of two senior roles within the Finance Team, with responsibility to manage a team of four to deliver all aspects of sales invoicing, payments, working capital management, pensions and payroll, and the production of the statutory reporting. The opportunity and challenge for this role is the need to create a sense of team identity and pride, alongside developing process to improve the production of the statutory reporting and returns. This will require excellent stakeholder engagement, a deep knowledge of the University strategic priorities, underpinned with the relevant financial skills and experience to translate this into the appropriate financial control environment.
