This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, forward-thinking and vibrant team at a top-ranking Russell Group University. The Bio-Support Unit is a multi-site, multi-disciplinary research facility with its own technical, engineering, scientific, and finance & administration staff. The successful candidate will be a key member of this strong and supportive team and be responsible for financial management and co-ordinating the finance & administration staff, ensuring they continue to provide a range of high-quality, essential services.

The team provides services that connect internally to University research and administration departments, as well as externally with Government departments, suppliers, and other organisations and stakeholders. Daily duties are therefore dynamic, varied, and stimulating. This rewarding position requires a highly motivated individual, with excellent organisation and communication skills and experience in managing budgets, people, projects, processes, and monitoring performance against targets.

The role could suit individuals who are from a finance, administration, or people management background, with additional on-the-job training provided as required. Applicants with greater experience in only one of these areas are encouraged to apply, or to contact the Unit to informally discuss the role and their suitability.
