About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to join the Financial Management team at the University of East London. The Financial Management team are responsible for monthly income and expenditure, reporting to budget holders and the senior executives, and ultimately the board and its committees. 

The role of the Financial Analyst will support the Financial Planning Accountant in contributing to create the budget templates and forecasting templates and will aid the Senior Finance Managers in analytical duties, commercial analysis of new business cases and degree programmes in addition to other proposed activities. The Finance Analyst will help with the production of regulatory and statutory financial returns for bodies such as the OfS, ESFA and the DfE. This role will also support the maintenance of the processes and reporting structures within finance systems relating to management reporting.

The main areas of work cover the following:

  • Income and Expenditure (I&E) Reporting,
  • Budgeting and Forecasting,
  • Regulatory Returns, 
  • Commercial Support.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively as a crucial part of the Financial Management team in the performance of their duties to ensure that monthly income and expenditure reports, budgets, forecasts, and returns are timely, accurate and robust.
