The Faculty Safeguarding Lead will have strategic oversight and operational responsibility for safeguarding in the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, and Education, working closely with the Head of Safeguarding and the Director of Student Resolution and Student Protection to affect a coordinated and strategic approach to safeguarding across the University.

As the Faculty Safeguarding Lead, you will play a key role in reviewing and implementing the University’s Safeguarding policy and procedures within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Safeguarding systems are adhered to and identifying areas for improvement. You will have excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to develop networks to support an efficient and effective approach to safeguarding within the faculty. You will be encouraged to use your initiative and judgement to ensure that all staff are aware of their role and responsibilities regarding safeguarding.

Flexible and connected (Academic & Student Facing) Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
