The Role

The role will provide support to the Engineering, Computing, and the Environment Faculty Leadership Team by organising internal and external events. The role will coordinate events, outreach activities, work closely with academic staff, internal marketing, communications, and events teams, maintain stakeholder engagement, and the collation and distribution of the faculty internal newsletter.

The role is busy, and you will be coordinating multiple events throughout the year, these can range from small informal events to large corporate events, to external facing events where you would be representing the faculty and the university.

As a key member of the Faculty Office, you will contribute to the overall smooth running of the faculty by providing a highly efficient and effective event and administrative support. You will work closely with the Faculty Operations Support Manager.

The Person

We are looking for an approachable and hard-working individual to join a friendly small team within the faculty office. You will have the ability to work flexibly, effectively, and cooperatively with others, displaying a positive attitude towards people and tasks. You will have the ability to build good working relationship with senior leadership teams and work well as a team, supporting your fellow colleagues in running an efficient event, and support service to the faculty leadership team. 'Good communication skills are essential for this role, and we would like the person to be able to express themselves well and listen effectively and respond sensitively to others.

Further information

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £32,271 per annum.
