The University of Surrey is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity within the Centre for Environment and Sustainability for an Experimental officer. In their role, the Experimental Officer will provide essential support in the delivery of a demonstration project investigating applications of soil-free technology to biomass and bioenergy crops. We are excited to announce that project will be run at Rothamsted Research and the University of Surrey, and you will be providing technical know-how in demonstrating the viability of SRC willow and other species propagated in a novel (aeroponic) environment.

The role will include detailed trial planning, plant physiological measurements, data recording, data analysis and interpretation, therefore, ideally, you will have experience working in a similar role and are knowledgeable of plant physiology.

Experience working in a similar role and knowledge of plant physiology are essential. Additional interest or experience in bioenergy, aeroponics and/ or sustainability are welcome.
