This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

This new full – time post is available from immediately on a fixed term basis (Maternity Cover) until the 18th of April 2025. Available to internal applicants only and could be on a secondment basis.

Summary of the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide high level Executive PA support to the Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Experience. 

About the role

This post would suit a highly experienced Personal Assistant who is keen to deliver an exceptional standard of professional support and develop their career in supporting senior management in the delivery of the University’s strategy and the effective day-to-day running of the University.

You will be educated to degree level or with a similar qualification or level of experience, have excellent organisational and communication skills, a high level of interpersonal skills and good all-round IT skills. Previous experience of providing PA support to senior staff in the public or private sectors is highly desirable.

You will work as part of an integrated executive support team, supporting the Vice-President and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education and Student Experience, Professor Tim Quine. You will be responsible for managing his time most strategically and prioritising his workload through expert, proactive diary management.

You will be expected to contribute to a range of key projects and activities and will have a strong awareness of dealing with people at the highest level, both nationally and internationally. In this rewarding and interesting role, you will be expected to exercise judgement to manage competing priorities in a very busy working environment.  An understanding of how to deal with sensitive and confidential information, excellent team working, as well as the possession of excellent written and inter-personal skills, is absolutely essential.
