The School of Humanities is seeking to recruit an Executive Assistant to join the School Executive team.
The role-holder will be required to take responsibility for specific areas of administration which support admin-related processes within the School.
The School Executive Assistant works closely with the School Senior Executive Assistant and Executive team colleagues to provide high-level executive support to the School of Humanities Senior management team, but also to other members of School.
The role holder will organise their own day-to-day and will provide excellent customer service to colleagues. A typical day in this post finds the Executive Assistant; arranging temporary worker contracts, processing finance claims, arranging travel, committing preparation and servicing, escalating estates issues, facilitating health and safety procedures, ordering catering and being a general go to for staff queries.
We are looking for someone committed and reliable with a proactive attitude to work, who thrives on helping colleagues.
You should apply if you are passionate about working in office management and administration in higher education, and can work in a busy team environment.
You have excellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with key stakeholders.
You are resilient and solutions focused with the ability to use your own initiative and judgement to complete tasks.
You are confident working independently and be able to deal with ambiguity, as well as working effectively with others in a busy team environment.
You have a proactive approach and possess administration experience.
You possess strong organisation and prioritisation skills and have excellent attention to detail.
You are a strong team player, who likes problem solving.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
For informal enquiries please contact Tiana Newman [email protected]
We recently launched our strategy to 2030 tying together our mission, vision and values.
The University of Bristol aims to be a place where everyone feels able to be themselves and do their best in an inclusive working environment where all colleagues can thrive and reach their full potential. We want to attract, develop, and retain individuals with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives – particularly people of colour, LGBT+ and disabled people - because diversity of people and ideas remains integral to our excellence as a global civic institution.
