We have an exciting opportunity to join our Business Planning & Insights team at Solent University as Evaluation and Insight Manager.
You will be at the forefront in helping us take forward the analysis, insight, and evaluation capability at Solent University. You will be working within a dynamic team who are keen to increase understanding of our students and their experience and ultimately support them in achieving their potential.
The role will deliver strategically aligned analysis and evaluation projects in support of activities related to Student Success, Access and Participation and continuous improvement. You will work with stakeholders across the University to ensure that the outputs from research are shared in an accessible and impactful way. You will play a leading role in supporting the design and delivery of the evaluation framework for the university’s Access and Participation Plan.
This is a key role working closely with senior stakeholders across the university including Student Success, Learning & Teaching and the academic community. To be successful in this this role, you will be adept at understanding organisational and external context, distilling and responding to stakeholder and regulatory requirements and supporting stakeholders to engage with evaluation and insight.
The role-holder will be adept at working with a range of data and information to generate clear findings and actionable insight that inform decision making.
The role holder will develop and manage the University’s Access and Participation Plan (APP) evaluation framework in line with Office for Students (OfS) requirements. Lead on the analysis on key student metrics relating to progression, attainment and Graduate Outcomes (GO) in order to support improvements and build institutional understanding.
About you
We are looking for a strategic and analytical thinker who is confident in designing and delivering evaluations alongside working with multiple sources of data and information to derive insight and make clear and actionable recommendations.
You will have a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills; able to manage varied requirements and to present data in engaging formats.
You will have a passion for insight, a creative approach to developing solutions for a range of audiences, have a positive can-do attitude with the ability to anticipate and respond to complex stakeholder requirements.
This is a relatively new team and you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and transformation of the BPI function at Solent.
