An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Safety, Compliance and Risk Manager professional to join our Estates & Facilities Directorate at the University of Wolverhampton. The role is a new and will be heading up a new team within the Estates and Facilities Directorate ensuring all statutory, regulatory, legislative and organisational quality standard requirements associated to the physical assets across all University Campuses and remote regional buildings, as well as the systems and services managed and operated by the Directorate within them are met and documented.

You will be required to work closely with colleagues across University Campuses, as well as external stakeholders and tenants.  You will demonstrate of key attributes such as; driven by challenge, enthusiastic, driving your team and others stakeholders, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, a flexible approach to work and the ability to prioritise demanding workload and identify areas for continuous development and improvement within your areas of management and delivery.  You will be motivated by meeting targets and having challenging objectives and deadlines, pursuing excellence in all that you manage, being able to work upon your initiative whilst also being a key member of the senior team within the Directorate.

You will provide operational support to professional services, academic staff, the student community, and other stakeholders in areas including development and implementation of appropriate policy, the delivery of training and the operational support.

You must be qualified to degree level or equivalent, have a good knowledge of Statutory Compliance across residential and corporate buildings, and of the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety), hold the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent.
