The University of Bradford’s mission is to drive sustainable social and economic development, through outstanding teaching, translational research, creative enterprise, and transformative innovation. We play an important role in our community, nationally and internationally in creating opportunity and enhancing prosperity.

We are proud to be launching the Bradford-Renduchintala Enterprise Ecosystem (B-REE), a £3.3m programme which will stimulate and support the development of new business and social enterprises in our University and city. Through this programme, students, researchers, staff, graduates, and community members will be inspired, will receive training and mentoring, will have access to seed and growth funding, and will develop their new enterprises within an open, inclusive entrepreneurial environment that enables them to succeed.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our values and passion to contribute to a diverse and prosperous city, and who can lead the engagement of students, researchers, staff, graduates, and disadvantaged members of our community in our entrepreneurial programmes, to create vibrant business and social enterprises. This will involve managing communications, as well as building strong internal and external networks that underpin our entrepreneurial ecosystem. The position requires a high level of initiative, excellent communications and influencing skills, an empathetic and sensitive approach. In addition to running campaigns, workshops and events, the role involves managing external agencies. We are looking for a committed team player, who can lead directly and through liaison with colleagues.

This is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of many people and to join a team that is committed to transforming society through socially responsible entrepreneurship and innovation. In addition, we offer the following benefits:

  • 25 days holiday and 13 statutory and customary days (taken at Easter and Christmas).
  • Family-friendly policies
  • Great campus facilities including:
