The Electrical Services Manager plays an important role in ensuring that USW’s infrastructure supports this transformation and modernisation.

The post holder will be based in the Maintenance Team within the Estates and Facilities department. The Estates and Facilities department oversee the operation of the significant University Estate, with over 70 buildings spread over 5 sites, including Pontypridd, Cardiff and Newport.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Electrical Services Manager, to be USW’s expert on all electrical services within our Estate. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring our electrical assets are maintained to a high standard, meeting all statutory and legislative requirements. Additionally the post holder will direct the work of skilled in house electricians, undertaking a range of reactive and planned preventative maintenance tasks. The post holder will also be a key advisor on infrastructure improvements, for both refurbishment of our existing buildings, and also the design of new buildings.

The role will be based predominantly in Pontypridd, although there will be an expectation for the post holder to work across all USW sites, and to attend other locations as required.

If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges.
