The Role

The Department of Estates is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Claverton Down campus together with off-campus buildings and facilities.  Due to continued expansion of the Campus and further future planned expansion we wish to recruit an Electrical Services Engineer.

The post holder will assist the Electrical Services Manager in the safe operation and efficient installation and maintenance of all electrical services including the management of High Voltage equipment, LV systems, Lifts, Fire Alarms, Intruder systems, Computer Controlled Lighting and Air Conditioning systems, by use of in-house labour or through contractors to properties both on and off campus.

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum qualification of ONC or HNC in Electrical Engineering dependant on experience.

A comprehensive practical knowledge of Electrical Building Services including BS 7671 IET wiring regulations, BS 5839 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, BS 5266 Emergency Lighting,  Electricity at Work regulations.

Experience of organising and managing planned, reactive and legislative compliance works associated with commercial building services.
