Kingston University has launched a long-term strategy to deliver a progressive model of higher education founded on the sector-leading Future Skills campaign which delivers a seamless, high-quality experience for all current and future students. This is a pivotal role to develop and implement successful strategic widening participation plans in line with the University’s strategic vision and lead the team to deliver against associated targets.

This role will lead on developing and managing the Schools and Colleges Strategy to aiming to grow applications and enrolments to the University. This will include leading on widening participation activity aimed at improving Higher Education access for underrepresented groups and contributing to distinct strategies to support and recruit groups of underrepresented students.

The Person

You will be an experienced candidate with a successful track record in widening participation and outreach with experience of managing multiple complex projects. You will be responsible for managing relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including Faculty colleagues, and school and college partners to manage an extensive programme of outreach activity.

You will have the ability to draw insights from data to inform strategy, ensuring that strategies are in place to make progress against appropriate targets and milestones for inclusion within the University’s access and participation plan. You will work collaboratively and be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence and inspire.

The Students Directorate s attracts and supports an inclusive student body, ensuring students become sought-after graduates through career enhancement and a focus on wellbeing.

Recruitment and Admissions at Kingston University forms a large department within the Student Directorate encompassing recruitment and admissions across home, EU and overseas students.

It provides a strategic, operational and advisory service for the University on all aspects of recruitment and admissions. This includes course marketing, student recruitment, student admissions, website management and development, design & print, copywriting, editing as well as international development, visa and immigration advice, events and graduation services. Together we are committed to widening access and improving customer service across the entire applicant journey.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £48,251 per annum.
