About the role

You will oversee education operations for King’s Digital’s portfolio of planned and live online programmes. You will lead and manage the King’s Digital Education Operations team, setting the strategic direction and ensuring that deadlines are met.

You will oversee the management of education operations services underpinning each stage of the online distance learner student life cycle. Additionally, you will work in collaboration with both academic and professional services staff across the university to ensure a world-class online distance learner student experience.

This post will significantly contribute to, and provide support for, King’s Digital’s strategic planning, education policy and programme development

This is a full time role and will be offered on an indefintie contract. 

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Substantial administrative experience gained within HE environment, ideally in posts focused on teaching operations
  • Knowledge of current and developing issues in HE, in particular where these relate to online distance learners, and the ability to explain the implications to colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal skills including motivating, influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain good relations with colleagues and with external contacts while exercising a high degree of discretion, tact, diplomacy, and determination. The postholder must be able to gain credibility with colleagues at all levels and win confidence in a variety of settings and situations
  • Excellent IT, administration, numeracy and literacy skills
  • Substantial experience of managing a diverse team and resources
  • Ability to work unsupervised and with a large degree of agency
  • Desirable criteria

  • Experience of managing educational projects
  • Postgraduate qualification in education or related field
  • Experience of managing budgets
