We are looking for a Digital Content Officer to work in the central marketing team.

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, with a demonstrable understanding of the principles that govern the design and creation of effective, engaging and accessible digital content. You should have an eye for what works on the web and other digital platforms.

You will have a substantial track record of planning and making effective online content in the higher education sector, as well as significant experience of using large content management systems (CMS), video and image editing software, social media platforms, and analytics tools.

The main duties of the post will be:

  • Working with colleagues across Lancaster University to improve and optimise Lancaster’s web pages.
  • Contributing to Lancaster University’s student recruitment campaigns, from planning through to delivery of content.
  • Helping to create successful online events and features such as virtual tours across various online platforms.
  • Planning, commissioning and delivering effective video, photography and student-generated content.
  • Promoting good practice in content creation across our organisation.
  • Evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of Lancaster’s digital content.

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with a hybrid work pattern. Full time working on campus can be accommodated if desired.

Please note that this post will require you to work during the clearing and confirmation period – usually mid-August around A level results day. Leave during this period will be restricted.
