An opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Skills and Accessibility team at Lancaster University within Information Systems Services (ISS) which provides IT services for staff and students at the University.

You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of IT training as well as supporting staff and students in their use of digital technologies. You will have a particular focus on supporting staff with their understanding of digital accessibility issues, and the creating of accessible resources. You will be required to use a variety of methods, including online, hybrid and in-person support. You will be developing and maintaining a wide range of resources and knowledge base articles as well as providing guidance to staff and students via our HelpCentre and 1:1 assistance.

The role will involve working as part of project teams, assisting with the roll out of new projects or updates to existing services, including development needs analysis, the creation and implementation of support plans, testing new features, identifying best practice.  

You will have excellent digital skills, and understanding of digital accessibility legislation and assistive technologies, champion the creation of accessible content and have a commitment to personal development. You will also have recent experience in creating engaging learning resources and possess a confident manner when supporting individuals or groups.

The Digital Skills Accessibility Developer is a full time, indefinite posts. We particularly welcome applications from women and black and minority ethnic people for this role in order to increase our staff diversity in this part of the University.
