We have an exciting new opportunity for a Development Assistant to join the Rhodes Trust. This role is a key role in the Global Engagement team providing administrative support.

We are looking for the successful candidate to start with us in May 2024.

The role

The role will also be responsible for tasks within gift registry and stewardship areas and will also include assisting team members based overseas. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in, or wishing to develop a career in, fundraising within the Higher Education sector.

The role will be responsible for;

  • Supporting the Donor Relations Manager in administering the Rhodes Trust Gift Registry;
  • Administration of donation data, research, cleansing, extraction and analysis to support the Global Engagement team
  • Provide administrative support to the Global Engagement team
  • Monitor various email inboxes, schedule meetings, organise meeting materials and transcribe action items and minutes when necessary
  • Occasional assistance for events – which may involve working on site at evenings or weekends
  • Support ad hoc departmental projects

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Relevant and proven administrative experience;
  • Ability to build strong working relationship with immediate colleagues, as well as with external stakeholders;
  • Team player with a positive approach to new challenges, quick to learn, and willingness to find / adopt new approaches to complete tasks in the interests of efficiency or as a result of changing requirements;
  • Proactive, focused and organised, with consistent attention to detail;
  • Experience of data entry and/or record maintenance;
  • An undergraduate degree is desirable
