Bristol Veterinary School (BVS) has a longstanding reputation as a leader in veterinary education and research. This role is an exciting opportunity to join the senior management team of the school, as we continue to grow our teaching and research portfolio, and expand into new areas. The role holder will contribute to ongoing management of the school, and also support new projects.
Please note: the role is based at the Langford Campus in North Somerset.
You will join the senior management team at Bristol Vet School and will directly support the School Manager and Head of School in the overall operational management of the School. You will directly line and manage the executive support team in the School, and also be responsible for professional services support for research. You will also assist the development and implementation of new projects across the breadth of school activity.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience in the management of a successful and growing academic school. You will be organised, with a commitment to excellence, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will have the ability to build dialogue and trust with colleagues in the School and the wider University. You will have relevant experience in a management or supervisory position within a related organisation. You will have experience in developing projects and managing change, and the management of budgets. Your excellent planning skills will enable you to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines.
Contract type: Fixed Term from 01/08/2024, for 12 months or the earlier return of the postholder from maternity leave

Salary: £41,732 - £46,974 per annum
