About Role

Westfield Nursery is a high performing nursery owned and run by Queen Mary University of London for the children of students, staff, and families from the local community. It offers 65 full time child places within the five age-based rooms and has a strong reputation for quality and best practice.

This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior room leader, room based assistant manager or a current Deputy looking for a new and exciting challenge.

Our purpose built; nursery needs an individual to help our dedicated staff team in maintaining an atmosphere that nurtures children under five.

About You

The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Level 3 childcare qualification, such as the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, along with some relevant management experience. Experience in a supervisory role with strong people management skills, understanding of the Statutory Early Years Foundation framework 2024, and the ability to convey its guidance to others are required. Additionally, an understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical implementation in an early years setting is essential. The candidate will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the setting's SEN policy and coordinating provision across the setting.
